I can judge how good a book is by what I do with my Kindle Fire when we have some alone time. I always have a book I'm working on. If it is a good book, I will read my kindle. If it is a slow book, I will watch more Amazon videos, Hulu+ or Netflix. Since starting this book three mornings ago, I have only watched one video. I am now done and very pleased with this book. Just like Abe you are immediately sucked into the glammor of life in the Family. Together you soon realize that it isn't as pretty as it seemed. It is a great tale of the rise, fall and redemption of a hitman.It does lend itself to needing a follow-up or at least a post-word. Although, perhaps the author wanted to leave us with a haunting feeling of uncertainty of the fates.

A good page-turner with more than a few surprising twists and turns. A fun crime drama told from a unique perspective.
I couldn't put it down and was so disappointed when I made it to the end - but only because I couldn't wait to find out what happened next! So excited for the next in the series!
I could not put it down. Blasted through this book in two days. I will be downloading the sequel after I finish this review.
Like in life, this fictional work struck a chord with me with how personal accountability is so easily lost these days. Don't pay your debts, there are consequences. Unlike real life its not just a ding on the credit rating, it could be a life. In this fun read its not that difficult to relate to the Skinners and how they protect business interests and recruitment methods, or what a young husband will do to provide for his family. The ending twist affirms its not personal, its business. Hopefully there is a book two in the works to tie up some of the loose ends. This could easily become a series like the Mack Bolan Executioner books I read as a kid.
