The advice is refreshingly simple and straightforward. It provides a nice summary of things to be mindful of very early on. The writing is humerous and holds my fleeting attention.The only thing I thought was poor advice was what could be exaggerated as "don't hold your wife to normal adult standards of personal responsibility, because she is tough and can handle the torment of childbirth, but not your personal preferences when they inconvenience her". It's so common that I can't be too annoyed, but just know that stuff is sprinkled in there if that stuff bothers you.

I wasn’t sure what to expect of this book, books can be pretty hit or miss. This one is actually really really good. The author had four of his own kids and you can tell he’s put a lot of thought into the nuances of being a dad.
The book goes beyond the generic thing everyone tells you about being tired all the time and changing diapers.
If you’re a soon to be dad, this is the best book I’ve found in the category!
Short, sweet and to the point! As a soon to be father this book gave me a good understanding of things to come and how to deal with them.
Easy to read and excellent advice. This book is perfect in size, content and humour. Very enjoyable and I learned a lot!
Well written. Clever. Interesting insights as well. A few are to be expected but most are of the unstated variety that people often overlook and don't think about. As a father of twin boys, I'd recommend this to anyone heading down the path of parenthood.
